She was predeceased by : her parents, Gardiner McClelland and Esther McClelland (Beneigh); and her brothers, Jack and Dick McClelland. She is survived by : her husband Edwin J. Douglass.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church (125 Buttercup Rd, Meridian, PA 16001).

As Joan was an avid reader, her family requests that donations be sent to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 North McKean Street, Butler, PA 16001.
