We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2019, at the age of 80, Joanne Florence Eakin Pontius (Butler, Pennsylvania), born in Beaver, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Eakin and Thelma Cranmer Eakin Magill; and her sister Marilyn Hardy. She is survived by: her husband William Pontius; her children, Douglas (Julie Pontius) and Rebecca "Becky" Karidis of Wake Forest, NC; her grandchildren, Andrei and Natalia Karidis; and her sister Alice Taylor (James). She is also survived by 5 Nieces and 2 Nephews and many Grandnieces and nephews.
