John Mark Edwards Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mark Edwards of Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Royd Edwards and Ethel Edwards; and his brother-in-law John Weigand. He is survived by: his wife Kim Edwards; his son Thomas Edwards (Sarah); his stepsons, Dustin Thompson (Jamie) and David Thompson (Adriane); his sister Barbara Weigand (Jerry); his grandsons, Frederick and Charles Edwards; his stepgrandchildren, Vaughn, Nolan, Dax, Molly, Emily, Sadie and Penny Thompson; his nephews, Charles Weigand (Andrea) and Brian Weigand; Betsy.

Even in retirement, Mark's dedication to his community continued when, in 2020, he was asked to return to Butler Health System to assist with the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark's memory to The Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
