He was predeceased by : his parents, John Slomer and Mary Slomer (Fedorski); his brothers, Robert and Paul; his son Richard; and his grandson Chance.

He is survived by : his wife Dottie; his son John F. (Ann); his daughter-in-law Paula (Joseph McMurry); his grandchildren, Tracy, Dana, Nickolas, Melissa and Richelle; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Grace, Ada, Anna, Eryka, Cheyenne and Weston; and his pet Kip.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Geibel Funeral Home (201 E Cunningham St, Butler, PA 16001). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
