He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Gibson and Dorothy Gibson (Lloyd); his stepmother Edna "Billie" Gibson; and his siblings, Sue Everette and Tim Gibson.

He is survived by: his close friend Melissa "Missy" Kaiser of Butler; his children, Gennie Gibson of Slippery Rock and Dennis J. Gibson of Hardy, KY; his stepchildren, Robin Kuzma of Butler and Tony Kaiser of Butler; his grandchildren, Nathan Ford, Tyler Teite, Cade Ford and Reina "Josh" Kuzma; and his great grandchildren, Paisley and Kennedy Ford.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd. (127 W Jefferson St, Butler, PA 16003). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
