She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Anthony Began Jr. (late Tony); her parents, Edward W. Crowe and Gertrude Crowe; and her children, Tom Began (Mary), Ned Began (Barbara), Joseph Began (Gail), Mary Pat Miller, Theresa Van Husen (Glen), Catherine Keller (Michael), Anita Smith, Chris Began (Vicki) and Timothy Began.

Her many acts of charity were widely known. She volunteered to sew bandages and attend functions put on by the Butler Chapter of the American CANCER Society Chapter.
