It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth McEvoy of Butler, Pennsylvania, born in Cabot, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Brake and Cora Neupert Brake; her husband James McEvoy; and her brothers, Edgar Brake Jr. Fred Brake, Peter Brake, Harry Brake, Bill Brake and Bud Neupert.

She is survived by : her children, James McEvoy Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Gary McEvoy of Butler, Lorna Szymanski of Kittanning, PA and John McEvoy (Shonna) of Butler; her grandsons, Hunter Szymanski (Rachel Uncapher) of Worthington and Gavin Szymanski (Jordin Noll); and her sisters, Mary Schmeider and Jane Grube. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
