She was predeceased by: her father Siegfried Leich; and her son Joseph Hawthorne, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Helga Luders Leich; and her siblings, Karin Dean, Peter Leich, Antje (Leif Pettersson) and Doris Schaak. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
