He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Powell (Bonesteel) and Preston Powell. He is survived by: his wife Gayle R. Powell; his children, Dianna Renard, Stacy Powell, Jeffrey Scott Powell, Sr. and Brandon Scott Powell (Ruth); his grandchildren, Lindsey Renard, Jodi Brown, Jeffrey Scott Powell, Jr. and Jamaica Sophia Powell; and his great grandchildren, Asher and Micah Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to River of God Church, 747 Wertzville Rd., Enola, PA 17025 or Landmark Baptist Church, 17 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
