She was predeceased by: her grandson Lawrence; her son John Bretz, IV; her great grandchild Ja'won Germany; and her siblings, Judy Miller, Ruth Ann Moore, Charles Pechart and Kenneth Pechart.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Mary Pechart; her husband Jerry Phillips; her daughters, Saundra Oplanel and Bonnie Mills; her grandson Justin Bretz; and her siblings, Margaret Mackey, Brenda Nye, Michael Pechart and Lawrence Pechart. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
