He was predeceased by: his wife Michele; his parents, Robert "Bob" Albert Casey, Sr. and Louise Casey (Wenner); his parents-in-law, Vern Hoover and Marie Hoover; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Bankert, John Baker and Bob Baker.

He is survived by: his children, Kathlene "Kait" Linton (Dave) of Lancaster and James R. Casey, Sr. (Melissa) of Mechanicsburg; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Ellie, Jovie, Savannah, Charlotte, Heath and S. J.; his sister Amy Jo Casey; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Leach and Ann Pierce; his niece Charity Mackes; his pet Sadie; and his family Methodist Church.
