He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles T. Runk and Alma V. Runk (Ziegler); his stepson Chris Klugh; and his siblings, Barry Runk and Sandy Trout.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon R. Runk (Williams); his children, Vernon L. Runk, Jr. and Tammy K. McArthur (Duncan) of Lemoyne; and his stepchildren, John Kiracofe (Stephanie) of Shamokin, Craig Kiracofe of Camp Hill and Leigh Anile (Sabastian) of Boiling Springs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
