He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harvey and Frances Weaver Johnston; his wife Dorothy Ott Johnston; and his sons, Robert W. Johnston and Roger W. Johnston.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Kay Hilderbrand; his daughter-in-law Chris Johnston; his grandchildren, Chelsea Johnston, Hali Kay and David Hilderbrand; his great grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe Kingsley; and his brother William Johnston (Hazel). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
