With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bob Carney of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, born in Peckville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bob Carney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carney and Mary Joan McHale Carney; and his sisters, Mary and Ann Carney. He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph Carney, Jr. (Cindy), Noreene Carney, Linda Melnick (Michael), Lorna Maurer (Paul), Kevin Carney and Megan Tremback (Mark); his siblings' children, Rachael, McHala, Victoria, Morgan, Megan, Madison and Evan; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aiden and Kalu.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (6 N Church St, Carbondale, PA 18407). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at the Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery (412 PA-106, Greenfield Township, PA 18407).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bob's honor to the Greater Carbondale YMCA, 82 N. Main Street, Carbondale, PA 18407.
