It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franziska A. Durso (Carbondale, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Franziska's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (15 Fallbrook St, Carbondale, PA 18407). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery (400 PA-106, Greenfield Township, PA 18407).
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale or Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore in-patient unit.
