He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth C. Moran and Mabel Packer Moran; his son John C. Moran; and his siblings, Betty, Charles, Thomas Walter, Katherine and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Rusek Moran; his daughters, Susan Moran (Lawrence Buckley) and Marianne Moran; his close friend Quinn Tracy; and his siblings, Grace Newcomb, Joseph Moran (Cathy), Margaret Calzola (Albert) and James Moran.
