He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Buddy" and Ovalee Smith Sanford; his sister Pam Sanford; and his brother-in-law Pat White. He is survived by: his wife Debra Baron Minton; his son Jeramie A. Minton (Nicole) of Massillon, OH; his grandsons, Brice and Jace Minton; his stepson Justin Cerra (Luis Munoz-Fernandez) of Brooklyn, NY; his sisters, Jean White of Pensacola, FL and Kathy Nelson (Thomas) of Theodore, AL; and his siblings' children, Chihuahua and Zoey.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcoal Church, 58 River Street, Carbondale, PA 18407.
