He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Nubby" Sears and Ruth Thompson Sears; his siblings, Patricia Martin and Robert Sears; and his close friend Ruth Reeser.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Spiker of Prosser, WA; his siblings, Ann Perry (Frank "Rodi") of Carbondale, PA, Margaret Opalka (Robert) of Scott Township, PA and James Sears (Rosa) of North Carolina; and his sister-in-law Carmella Sears of Carbondale, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
