We announce the death of Charlene A. Shaffer of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 81. Charlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Parker E. Failor and Martha Failor (Dunkle); her granddaughter Toby Heishman; her daughter Lory Ann Shaffer; and her siblings, Alice Clepper, Sarah Myers, Elizabeth Barclay, Kathrine Newhouse, Parker, Harry, Paul and Lawrence Failor.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie Shaffer, Sr. of Carlisle; her children, Charlie Shaffer, Jr. (Bobbi) and Donna McCreary (Charles); her grandchildren, Amber (Sarah) and Reilly Shaffer; her great grandchildren, Max, Alayna Heishman and Lucy Watkins; and her brothers, Jim and Eugene Failor.
