We announce the death of Charles A. Burchfield of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William James Burchfield and Aimee C. Burchfield (May); his siblings, Roddy May, James William Burchfield and Elizabeth "Sue" Burchfield Brenizer; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Holtry.
He is survived by: his wife Leslie A. Burchfield (Hippensteel); his children, Brian Burchfield of Kansas City, MO, Heather Dumm (Jason) of Mechanicsburg and Cassey Burchfield of Carlisle; and his siblings, Judy Holtry of Shippensburg, Tina McCommon (Harold) of Newville, John Burchfield (Lavonda) of Carlisle, Robert Burchfield (Cathy) of Newville and Michael Burchfield (Mary) of Newville. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home (630 S Hanover St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
