He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Shover and Grace Shover (Hippensteal) of Carlisle; his wife Virginia Shover (Swavely); his brothers, Leonard and Marlin Shover; and his children, Charles Shover, Jr. and Cindy Clyde of Carlisle.
He is survived by: his sister Beatrice Shearer of Carlisle; his sister-in-law Patsy Shover of Carlisle; his children, Susan (Raymond McWilliams), Sharon (Montie Yuda), Linda (Steve Crouse) and J. Wesley Shover of Carlisle; and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Shover of Carlisle. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 22 Greatgrandchildren, and 1 Great Great grandchild.
