With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dale Frue Stitzel of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover C. Stitzel and Flora E. Stitzel (Hess); his siblings, Mary, Alta, Phares, Clark and Ellsworth; and his partner's son Steve Smith.
He is survived by: his partner Shirley Smith; his children, Dale Stitzel, Jr. (Sheri), Michael Stitzel, Gary Stitzel, Sr. and Kathy Stitzel-Rogers; his grandsons, Gary Stitzel, Jr. and Charles Bitner III (Tasha); his daughter Christy Hershey (Jason); his great grandchildren, Gabriel, McKenna, Max Stitzel and Juliana Hershey; his stepchildren, Merle (Sharon), Debra (Denny), Maclay, Tammy Earnest (Walt) and Karen Smith; his sister-in-law Helen Stitzel; and his niece Kim Stitzel.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 1299 (26 E High St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
