He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Simmons and Esther Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Sue Simmons (Cawley); his children, Kim Lehr (Jon), Carrie Bryant (D. Shaun), Amy Gobin (Bryan) and Donald Simmons Jr. (Elizabeth Gibson); and his siblings, Lowell, Edward Simmons, Shirley Fry and Ruth Delacour. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Carlisle United Methodist Church (333 S Spring Garden St, Carlisle, PA 17013).
