He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Stone (Arnold) of Carlisle; his stepchildren, Kimberly Hobbs (Brad) of Missouri, Robert Hostler Sr. of Carlisle and Jody Knepp (Barbara) of Lewistown; his sisters, Edna Rupp of Carlisle and Mildred Stone of Newville; and his pets, Chippy and BJ. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; forty two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
