He is survived by: his parents, J. Wolford Herman, Jr. and Ruth N. Herman (Owens); his former wife Constance Herman (Phillipy); his children, Mitchell Herman of Carlisle, Lucas Herman of Carlisle, Clay Herman of Carlisle, Sally Herman of Carlisle and Reid Herman of Carlisle; and his sisters, Gayle Rich and Kathy O'Donnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
