We announce the death of Karen A. (Mrljak) Whitmire of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 71. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph G. Mrljak and Florence M. Mrljak (Howe); her husband William E. Whitmire; and her brother Floyd Miller. She is survived by: her children, Kathy (Mrljak), Miller (Sam), Michelle Whitmire (Mark) and Joey Mrljak (Vanessa); her grandchildren, Aaron Haubert, Magnum Haubert, Mordacia Haubert, Jordan Mrljak, Dameon Mrljak, Prestan Mrljak and Alexis Mrljak; and her siblings, Flossie Batcheler and Joe Mrljak.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church (815 S 2nd St, Steelton, PA 17113). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
