He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Semel and Thelma Semel; and his wife Ruth Ann Semel (Barr). He is survived by: his children, Aaron Semel (Tanya) and Tara Samuelsen (Andrew); his grandchildren, Sydney, Nathan, Erik, Luke and John; his sister Ginny Tolliver (David); and his niece Rachel.
