She was predeceased by: her parents, Georg Gunter and Rita Cacilie Engert (Appelmann). She is survived by: her family Petra; her husband Stephen T. Smith of Newville; her children, Michelle L. Orenstein (Todd) of Wallkill, NY, Robert J. Smith (Jenifer) of Carlisle and Michael S. Smith (Rachel) of Carlisle; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Alex, Tyler, Landon, Kayce, Harrison and Bridget; and her siblings, Christa Hines (Joe) of North Pole, AK, Gunther Engert (Iris) of Germany and Dieter Engert (Rosie) of Germany.
