With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas J. Dermott Jr. (Carlisle, Pennsylvania), born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 19, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Dermott and Jane Dermott (Larson); and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his wife Stella (Calabretta); his children, Thomas M. Dermott Carlisle (Maureen), David A. Dermott Mechanicsburg (Heather Janetta), Colleen M. Zody (Michael) and Deanna L. Bailey Harrisburg (Thomas); his grandchildren, Cassidy Dermott, Adam, Caroline Zody, Thomas and Elizabeth Bailey; and his siblings, William (Margaret), Jane Scott (Daniel), Kathleen, Maureen and Richard (Maureen). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church 152 E Pomfret St, Carlisle, PA 17013.

“We send sympathy and condolences to Stella and the Dermott family upon the death of Tom. A friendly longtime neighbor, Tom would always wave and greet us when we walked past the family home. The neighborhood deer-paths crossed between our homes, and many times I had to call one of my cats from “mousing” in the Dermott’s backyard. Mike’s dad, Earl Coulson, and Tom worked together at the United Telephone Co. Tom will be remembered in many fond recollections. - Suzy & Mike Coulson”
