He was predeceased by: his parents, John Calvin Hefflefinger and Loie May Hefflefinger (Ott); his wife Mary E. Hefflefinger (Whistler); and his siblings, Ken, Evelyn, Ed, Miriam, Les, Clair, Velva, Dean and Lynn.
He is survived by: his children, Sondra Jumper (Michael) of Boiling Springs and Rodger Hefflefinger of Carlisle; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Jumper, Eric and Amanda Hefflefinger. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
