We announce the death of Alberta Mae Nicholson of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 99. Alberta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fischer and Sophie Elizabeth Fischer (Walters). She is survived by: her children, Penny Davis (Ron) of Charleston, S. C., John Machesky of Connellsville and Kassy McGourty (Vince) of Clinton, N. J.; her grandchildren, Terri Paroda (Robert) of Bishopsville and Bill Nicholson (Kathy) of Rices Landing; her former husband John Machesky; her husband Homer Nicholson; her siblings, Harry Fischer, Dorothy Seals, Florence Seals and Gertrude Lewoc; and her granddaughter Kaitlin Marie Machesky. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Carmichaels Methodist Church in memory of Alberta.
