He was predeceased by: his parents, William Osbourne Hamilton and Mary Ellen Hamilton (Daveport). He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Lonnquist); his children, William Hamilton (Elizabeth), Eric Schloegel (Jacklyn), Jeanne Goloub, Andrea Nolan (Timothy) and Kristin Amato (Rick); and his brother John Hamilton (Margaret). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
