McDowell Jr. of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. McDowell, Sr. and Martha McDowell (Melnyczuk). He is survived by: his wife Helen McDowell (Forgione); his sons, William McDowell III (Honora) and Darren McDowell (Sarah); his grandchildren, Lucas, Sean and Samantha; and his sisters, Louise "Cookie" Jones and Maureen Bugey (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Cornelius Catholic Church (160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
