We announce the death of David R. Meyers of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Meyers and Edna Meyers (Rife); and his siblings, Janet Gayman, Mildred Eller, Robert, Reuben, Roy, Martin, Daniel, Thomas and John Meyers.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne L. Meyers; his sons, Douglas R. Meyers (Jennifer) of Lancaster, PA and Kent D. Meyers (Holly) of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Megan Bernath (Tyler), Amber Meyers (Evan Misal) and Brooke Meyers (Kaden Hoover); his great grandchild Carson Bernath; and his sisters-in-law, Mary of Iowa and Kathy Meyers of Iowa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren (260 S 4th St, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens (3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
