David Sheppard Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Sheppard Sr. (Chambersburg, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Weston Stebbons and Lottie Minerva Sheppard (Fegley); his wife Esther; his former wife June A. Sheppard (Johnstone); his sister Jeanette S. Barden; and his children-in-law, Richard "Dick" Scott and Karen L. Sheppard.
He is survived by: his children, David Sheppard, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA, Paul Sheppard (Amy) of Griswold and Deborah Beth Scott of Camp Hill, PA; and his grandchildren, Justin M. Sheppard, Julia A. Hvass, Laura B. Clodfelter, Hannah E. Murphy, Micah J. Sheppard and Justin P. Scott. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Park Lawn Memorial Gardens (3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hershey Free Church (330 Hilltop Rd, Hummelstown, PA 17036).
