He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Botchie and Helen Botchie (Ferrance); and his father-in-law Edward Lombardi. He is survived by: his wife Nita (Lombardi); his daughters, Jennifer Deinlein (Joseph) of Fayetteville and Andrea of Chambersburg; his granddaughters, Sophie and Annabelle Deinlein; and his siblings, Kathleen Kaskiel of Lebanon, Joseph (Margie) of Mechanicsburg and Jerome (Karen) of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (320 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church Cemetery (1095 Church Rd, Orrtanna, PA 17353).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic School or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
