George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard O. "Sam" Newman and Bertha M. "Mae" McCaulley Newman; and his daughters-in-law, Bonnie Newman and Monique Newman. He is survived by: his wife Marlene E. DeShong Newman; his sons, Arnold "Craig" Newman of Burnt Cabins and Kerwin Newman of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Crystal Damiano (Dominic) of Fayetteville and Jordan Newman of Burnt Cabins; his great grandchildren, Crashawn, Cadyn and Camryn Newman; his great great grandchild Amira; and his sister Dorothy Vazzola.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Brethren Church, 2398 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
