He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Louise Armstrong; his parents, John Leslie "Les" Armstrong and Myrtle Anna; and his brothers, Ray, Marvin and Kenneth "Ted" Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia A. Gelwicks (Franklin) of Hagerstown, MD and Larry J. Armstrong (Paulette) of Downingtown, PA; his grandsons, Jeffrey Gelwicks (Mary Beth) of Indiana, Christopher Gelwicks (Terri) of North Carolina, Thomas Armstrong (Jennifer) of Paoli, PA and Benjaman Armstrong (Jacqueline) of New Jersey; his great grandchildren, Lindsey, Landon, Conner, Cameron, Noah, Jacob, Emily, Natalie, Charlie, Hunter and Maxwell; and his great great grandchild Noel.
