We announce the death of Irene Finamore of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 98. Irene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dunchak and Mary Solvesky Dunchak; her husband John R. Finamore; her son John Finamore; and her siblings, John, Andrew, Joseph Dunchak, Eleanor Dunchak, Olga Miletta and Stephanie Centofante.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Finamore (Beverly) of Parker, CO, Karen Drought (Michael) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Michael Finamore (Charlene) of Hertford, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church (1095 Church Rd, Orrtanna, PA 17353). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
