He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde T. Hafer and Grace Hannah Hafer (Risbon); and his brother Paul Hafer. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Ann Moats Hafer (Gribble); his children, Dr. Charlene E. Macko (Rich) of Ellicott City, MD, Steven T. Hafer of Bloomington, IN, Stephan R. Moats (Kim) of Frisco, TX, Joel Michael Moats (Danielle) of Newburg and Gregory A. Moats (Sheila) of Chambersburg; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan Macko, Alexandra, Elijah Hafer, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Julianne, Greta, Emma and Jordan Moats.
