He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Weber McLaughlin; his daughters, Monica Bumgarner (Sean) of Mobile, AL, Megan Potter (Timothy) of Pottstown, PA and Michelle Christian (Lee) of Alpena, MI; his grandchildren, Jase Potter, Quinn Potter, Olin Christian and Mara Bumgarner; and his brother Jeffrey McLaughlin (Charlotte) of Berlin, MD..
