It is with sadness that the passing of Kathryn Dymond of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania is shared. Kathryn, born on May 24, 1928, passed away on August 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Kathryn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Kathryn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Kathryn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Kathryn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherry McGowan and Anna Belle McGowan (Hepfer); her husband Hart M. Dymond Jr.; and her daughter Ida M. Repp. She is survived by: her children, Robert Dymond (Linda), Kathy Spidell and Kim Brookens (Kenneth). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of NARFE where she was head of the ways and means committee, and was very active in fundraising for Alzheimer's. For many years , Kathryn had her own silk flower business.
