We announce the death of Madeline Cornelius of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Madeline will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard and Mary; her husband Luther Cornelius; and her siblings, Martha Kelly, Richard Knisely, Joanne Price, Helen Kyler and Bruce Knisely.
She is survived by: her sons, Rodger Cornelius (Ev) of Fayetteville, PA, George Cornelius (Susan) of Carmel, IN and Randy Cornelius (Julie) of Mars, PA.; and her grandchildren, Brett Cornelius, Andrew Cornelius, Angela Spidle, David Cornelius, Alison Crist, Thomas Cornelius and Stephanie Cornelius. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church (125 Park Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
