It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie E. Starr of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Sollenberger and Ada Sollenberger (Myers); her husband R. Sheldon Starr; her son Randy E. Starr; and her siblings, James Sollenberger and Martha.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry L. Starr (Cyndi) of Chambersburg and Michael A. Starr (Susan) of Chambersburg; her grandchildren, Ella Heeter (John), Ean Starr (Shelby), Hannah Cox (Tim) and Isaac Starr; and her siblings, Stanley Sollenberger (Barb), Margaret Smokowicz, Barbara Yoder (Sam) and Nelson Sollenberger (Bev). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mission Hill Church (465 Center St, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Air Hill Cemetery (7041 Cumberland Hwy, Chambersburg, PA 17202).
