It is with sadness that the passing of Phyllis H. Shafer (Chambersburg, Pennsylvania) is shared. Phyllis, born on August 7, 1938, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Estelle Kaplan and Harold Kaplan; her husband Bill; her son Greg; and her stepdaughter Linda.
She is survived by: her children, Adam (Jana), Rob and Diana (Dann); her siblings, Hinda and Alan; her grandchildren, Tess, Rachel, Jeremy, Brett, Abby, Corryn, Mark, Quinn, Jordan and Hayden; her great grandchildren, Molli, Charlie and Benjamin; and her stepchildren, Billy and Donna.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Quincy Cemetery (6555 Cemetery Lane, Quincy, PA 17247).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mason Dixon Nurse Honor Guard, 1943 Mountain Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
