Roy E. Statler Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy E. Statler in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Statler and Clara Statler (Barnhart); his son Charles A. Statler; his stepgreat-grandson Keith A. Carbaugh; his great great grandchild Camdyn Moomaw; and his siblings, Florence Mowen, Janet Barney, Ray Statler and Charles Statler.
He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Statler (Nancy) of Chambersburg, PA, Anna M. Cordell (Donald) of Mercersburg, PA and Alexander L. "Andy" Statler of Greencastle. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home (521 S Washington St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Greencastle Sportsman's Association.
