The memory of Sarah N. Defenderfer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 18, 2025 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Newman and Margaret Strike Newman; her husband Jerry R. Defenderfer; and her siblings, Helen Newman Dickinson and Charles Newman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Egolf (Richard Jr.) of Chambersburg, PA and Kathy Defenderfer of Chambersburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Cindy Keller (Brad), Rick C. Egolf (Samantha), Gabriella and Raeleigh Stockslager. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and two great great grandsons.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. James United Brethren Church (2398 Warm Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sally's memory to the St. James United Brethren Church, 2398 Warmspring Rd. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
