He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Best and Sarah Best (Benedict); his wife Doris J. Best (Daugherty); and his sisters, Dorothy Gsell and Martha Best.
He is survived by: his son Gary Best (Kimberly) of Stroudsburg, PA; his granddaughters, Kayla Jenness (Barrett) of Center Valley, PA and Erin Best of Stroudsburg, PA; his great grandchild Grant; and his brother Glenn Robert Best of Chambersburg.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Lincoln Cemetery (948 Lincoln Way E, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
