He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Smith, and Georgina Hatton Smith, Sr.; and his wife Linda Fawcett Smith. He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Colson M. and Emalyn S. Smith; and his siblings, Janis Smith of Safety Harbor, Florida and Alan Smith (Lisa) of Raleigh.
