He was predeceased by: his parents, Jirair Hovnanian (J. S. Hovnanian) and Elizabeth Hovnanian. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Stephan (Lisa), Haig (Pax), Garo (Tamar) and Karinné (Greg); his grandchildren, Ariana, Christina, Sophia, Ella, Annabel, Stepan, Lilit and Zaven; and his brother Peter (Theresa). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Armenian Church (101 Ashmead Rd, Cheltenham, PA 19012). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (1300 US-130, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077).
Those wishing to honor Steve's legacy may do so through a donation to Holy Trinity Armenian Church or the Ararat Center, in lieu of flowers.
